Beatrix Potter Framed
I really wanted to get something framed and out of the "drawer." So I pulled out the BP Sampler that we did as a SAL last year. I picked it up from the framers yesterday and I think it turned out great!! Here is a snap -

I really enjoyed the SAL - can't wait for another....... :)

BP SAL update
Here is a snap of my BP SAL, I have been working on other projects so this did fall to the wayside and I am not as far along as I would want to be, but it is still a really fun stitch.

How far along is everyone else, or are you all finished???? :)

Take care,

She is fun to work on, so much I would like to abandon other projects. I won't however, as I have so many in the works.

Progress is slow
I am stitching Beatrix Potter on 36 count Lakeside Linens Vintage Light exemplar with The Threadgatherer's Nan's Mulberry. I started with a different color, didn't like it and restarted with this which is my current favorite color. I am looking forward to making a lot of Sunday progress on this piece which is a lot of fun to stitch. I am new to blogging so have yet figured out how to post a picture but will try after this weeks progress.

Beatrix moving along....
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

A little more progress. The little frog came to visit and slowed me down a bit. I still am off on one of the motifs, but I think I am going to ignore it until I am finished and then decide if I feel like it matters. Life is too short to worry about backs and being one stitch off! If you can find the mistake, I will send you a spool of Vikki Clayton silks!

Finally...something to show you!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I don't think I have ever posted to this blog before, even though I have been reading it for several months now. I wanted to join because I am a quaker nut, but haven't had a moment to start Beatrix Potter. Wednesday evening, I finally just started it, even though I had wanted to complete some things first. I am a serial starter, so you may not see too much finished!!

Here's a little update...
I thought I would post a snap of the little bit of progress I have made in the last day or so.

I have been really busy getting together the RR I am in. First sketching, then charting then stitching.....then thinking about it. As you can see with the BP piece I am working it along the bottom and then will turn the corner and work up the side eventually working to the middle of the piece. I am still really enjoying working this piece, but there never seems to enough stitching time does there????

I started BP Quaker Sampler
I started stitching this BP Quaker Sampler today. It's too hard to decide the thread color though,at last I choosed DMC No.3808. Its description is "Ultra V DK Turquoise". It's beautiful, and fit nicely with this antique white linen.
I choose this thread though,I'm really looking foward to look various version of everyone.:)

Nicki's Beatrix Potter start

Here's my start on the Beatrix Potter Quaker for the SAL. It's going to be stitched on 40ct Georgia Clay from Silkweaver using a mixture of red overdyed cotton threads. It should be fun!

I recieved a wonderful Quaker leaflet!
Taking a look inside mailbox after outing, a parcel reaced there. I'm so excited!! Because they are two wonderful Quaker leaflets!!:D I'd waited them with impatient. I'd like to stitch at once, but I cannot do so. Because for "beatrix Potter's Quaker Sampler" I'd ordered a fabric. It dosen't reach here yet. But I hope I'll start to do in the next week, then I'd like to join SAL.:)

Stitching away at the BP Sampler
We just got back at the end of last week from vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota, what a great area to visit. But the entire time I was away not a stitch was done. I worked on the SAL this past Sunday and here the project stands . I need to chart out some initials under the bird/lake , or I might do a date, I have not decided.Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Take care,

BP sal I
Hi girls!
Yesterday I could not find the time to post, but here it is now:
Not much of a progress, only half of a motif, but still- a progress.
The material is a home-made linen about 100 years old (from inheritance), the floss is DMC 902. I like it very much, stitching on it is very much fun.
See you next week!
