Hello Quaker Stitchers!
I've been very busy but I promise I'll try to be more active.
First of all, an event news:
I've received an interesting mail from Karen Bollin, the Vice President of Programs for the Loudoun Sampler Guild in Virginia.
Her guild is sponsoring a series of programs, entitled
A Token of Love: the Quaker Girl & Her Needlework which will run most weekends through March & April, 2008, except Easter weekend. This series is a direct result of the cancellation of the exhibition and symposium that was to be sponsored by the Loudoun Museum.
The series includes lectures by Sue Studebaker, Betty Flemming, Lynn Tinley, & Mary Robare. Classes will be conducted by Betsy Morgan, Pamela Darney, Kathy Barrick-Dieter, and Ellen Chester. Ellen has created a special adaptation of her "Long May She Wave" to coordinate with the 35-star Quaker flag from the local Quaker community of Waterford, VA.
