Not sure if I am going to use traditional colours Red & Green,or go for a purple one!!

It's better I remember you the simple rules.
The aim is to create almost a quaker Christmas ornament for our Christmas tree. The patterns can be taken from every JCS Christmas Ornaments issues or any other Xmas ornament pattern: the only rule is that it has to be a Quaker ornament, obviously.
The SAL will officially start next November 16th.

Hello everybody.
First of all, I want to publicly apologise for the long absence on this blog.
I'm the administrator but I haven't done a good job here lately.
I was totally away from the PC in August, and tried to come back in September, with so many thigs to settle on my website and main blog, that I temporaly skip my duties here.
Now I'm back.

I recently accepted new entrance requests, so I invite the new members to introduce theirselves to the quaker bloggers. I'll create your personal signature (let's see how apply signatures here) add the link into the Quaker bloggers column.

I want to congrats all the quaker members for their finishes, too.
Sorry for no leaving comments, however I've seen all them with feeds and really liked every personal touches you gave to your quaker pieces.

I'll try to follow again the newest releases of quaker designs, I promise I'll try.

It seems our first quaker exchange went very well, except two little obstacles almost passed (one member still has to receive her quaker animal, the first package went missed, but now it's on her way).
I think it's better to leave the second quaker exchange for the new year, after Epiphany,
but I wish to launch a Quaker Christmas Ornament SAL.

I have started a new Quaker sampler as part of a SAL that just started in March. It's the Hannah Beeby 1816 sampler from Gitta's. We are stitching on it the last full week of each month.

I am stitching it 1 over 2 on Tundra fabric from Lakeside Linen using Snoqualmie Falls overdyed cotton from Needle Necessities. Here is my progress at the end of Round 1. You can click on the picture to see an even larger version of the photo. Please pardon the wrinkles -- I didn't press it for the photo.



I had so much fun working on it. I almost hate to wait until the end of April to work on it again. LOL

A little more progress. The little frog came to visit and slowed me down a bit. I still am off on one of the motifs, but I think I am going to ignore it until I am finished and then decide if I feel like it matters. Life is too short to worry about backs and being one stitch off! If you can find the mistake, I will send you a spool of Vikki Clayton silks!

I thought I would post a snap of the little bit of progress I have made in the last day or so.

I have been really busy getting together the RR I am in. First sketching, then charting then stitching.....then thinking about it. As you can see with the BP piece I am working it along the bottom and then will turn the corner and work up the side eventually working to the middle of the piece. I am still really enjoying working this piece, but there never seems to enough stitching time does there????

I started stitching this BP Quaker Sampler today. It's too hard to decide the thread color though,at last I choosed DMC No.3808. Its description is "Ultra V DK Turquoise". It's beautiful, and fit nicely with this antique white linen.
I choose this thread though,I'm really looking foward to look various version of everyone.:)

Taking a look inside mailbox after outing, a parcel reaced there. I'm so excited!! Because they are two wonderful Quaker leaflets!!:D I'd waited them with impatient. I'd like to stitch at once, but I cannot do so. Because for "beatrix Potter's Quaker Sampler" I'd ordered a fabric. It dosen't reach here yet. But I hope I'll start to do in the next week,then I'd like to join SAL.:)

We just got back at the end of last week from vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota, what a great area to visit. But the entire time I was away not a stitch was done. I worked on the SAL this past Sunday and here the project stands . I need to chart out some initials under the bird/lake , or I might do a date, I have not decided.Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Hi girls!
Yesterday I could not find the time to post, but here it is now:
Not much of a progress, only half of a motif, but still- a progress.
The material is a home-made linen about 100 years old (from inheritance), the floss is DMC 902. I like it very much, stitching on it is very much fun.

Well, no excuses in fact: I have had to work hardly on a proof correction and haven't the time to stitch. I have otherwise prepared the fabric, signed the center, put few stitched and haven't touched it for a week. Next Sunday I'll absolutey have to work on my Beatrix.
These are the materials I've chosen:
fabric: Zweigart 32ct dust blue;
threads: Sea Foam silk from Vikki;
needleminder: Curios cat from Kelmscott.

I started the SAL and there really is not too much to show. I am very happy with my colour and fabric choice. I also worked on Serenity, finished the alphabet and started some of the smaller bits. I am waiting for my LNS to call as they have ordered my floss for the surrounding boarder. It is going to take quite a bit and I wanted it to all come form the same dye lot. Last night I started the Rebecca Jeffcoat 1800 sampler, to fill in after I finish Serenity. I am working it on the recommended 32 count Antique Ivory and with Au ver a Soie floss'. I will snap a picture when it actually looks like something.
