Hannah Beeby 1816

Only one motif left to stitch (in the bottom right hand corner) and then Miss Hannah is finished. I have yet to decide whether to hemstitch it before framing although I think this is the way I will go with it. I am going to miss stitching on this one!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

just clean forgot..
Hello all!
Just wanted to share progress on the Hannah Beeby Sampler that I've been working on, and clean forgot to share with you!

I worked on the 3 motifs on this past Friday night while watching some old movies and drinking lots of tea. Since then I've been working on it, encouraged by how fast this has been going, but haven't had time to take a photo yet with the holiday preparations and all...lol!

I'd like to wish you all a very happy Holiday Season, and wishes of good health, lots of laughter and stitching for the New Year!

hugs from Holland,
heidi

Quaker Strawberries finished!
These are my Quaker Strawberries.
I've personalized the finishing, but mainly followed this tutorial on Focus on Finishing.
The pattern, by Blackbird Designs, was published on JCS Christmas issue 2006.
The threads are both Dinky Dyes: the red one is #59 Warratah and the purple one is #73 Shiraz; the fabric is a 28ct Opalescent lugana color Jamaika Sparkle from Silkweaver.

Faith Hope and Love is finished
Last night I finished off Midnight Stitching's "Quaker Faith Hope and Love" and am really pleased with it. I won't be able to take it to the framer until next year but am so looking forward to being able to hang it on my wall.

I stitched it on 28 count Vintage Mocha Cashel Linen with the recommended Gentle Art Sampler Threads - Oatmeal, Cranberry were the white and red and I have forgotten the name of the blue.

I recommend this piece to anyone as a really satisfying stitch.
