Quaker Strawberry kitted up
This is my choice for the Quaker Christmas ornaments SAL: Quaker Strawberry by Blackbird Designs, from JCS Christmas Issue 2006. I've chosen a Silkweaver lugana opalescent colour Jamaica Sparkle, but I'm undecided about the silk thread. Can you help me to choose one?
Thank you in advance,

Tulip Manor
Hello stitchers,
I've started it yesterday, this is my progress.
I stitch using one strand of floss over two threads.
I really love to stitch this lovely pattern!
Fabric: 32 ct Belfast linen "French Vanilla Swirl" from Silkweaver.
Hugs,
Elena

Hedgehog Quaker

Hedgehog Quaker, freebie by The Workbasket, stitched with Crescent Colours Belle Soie Kiwi on 28ct Cashel linen Fern from Silkweaver.
My purpose is to stitch other quaker animals; I think the next one will be the Cat, but I also love the Mouse, superbly stitched by Niki.

Mail Art
Inspired by my friend Martina, I decided to create some mail art. Most mail art I've seen it's done with scrapbook papers and paints and little embellishments. Of course mine isdone in cross stitch. This is 22 count hand-dyed aida and some Hobby Lobby brand over-dyed floss.  The motifs are from " Mon Ami Pierre". It will get a grey satin long and then off it goes in the mail!

Finally Some Stitching Done
At last I post again after a long absence.  I have been stitching all along, but have neglected the blogs for a while.  I finished Workbasket "Quaker Reindeer" in DMC variegated reds #115.

Another I have worked on for quite some time is Goode Huswife "Bee Skep".  I followed the pattern using DMC floss but changed the initials called for at the top into a bee motif instead.

It has Been a Long Month.............
Hello everyone; November was a long month for me; and December is flying by so fast.  I have been busy with my groups and I also accepted a temporary job assignment at my former job; the one I retired from four years ago.  While the income is wonderful, I miss my time and home and my stitching and crafting.

Hopefully, later this weekend I will post a photo of the ornaments I made for one of my groups.  They are a bit different; some stitching involved, but not a lot.

I will also post some of the photos of many gifts I have received from lots of my stitching friends.  All of them are just gorgeous.  I am planning my stitching goals for the upcoming year and have lots on my plate once again.  I have a Lizzie Kate SAL I will be finishing (yes, Meari!!); I am going to do another SAL with Angie called Lavender Blue; it is just beautiful!  In between my SALs I will be doing my Prairie Schoolers, Lizzie Kates and many other charts which I have just fallen in love with over the last year.

I hope that all my stitching friends are staying well; there is a lot of illness going around her in VA; lots of pneumonia and different strains of flu.  I sure do hope I can avoid them; I did get the flu shot and the pneumonia shot, because of my history of asthma and bronchitis.

I do want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!  If you do not celebrate Christmas, you enjoy whatever holiday it is that you observe!!!

BIG HUGS,
Sue
