Quaker Hornbook

I finished up Quaker Hornbook from With My Needle. I did it over one on an unknown 32 count linen using Milady's Teal from Crescent Colours.

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't been working on any Quaker pieces. But I'm almost ready to start on Beatrix Potter - I just need to settle on a fiber choice.

Finished Faith, Hope and Charity
I finally finished Faith, Hope and Charity by Martina Dey. I absolutely loved stitching this one...I stitched it on a piece of tea dyed 18ct aida with Vikki Claytons silks. I love how this turned out!

Quaker September news
Hello Quaker Stitchers!
I've been very busy but I promise I'll try to be more active.

First of all, an event news:
I've received an interesting mail from Karen Bollin, the Vice President of Programs for the Loudoun Sampler Guild in Virginia.
Her guild is sponsoring a series of programs, entitled A Token of Love: the Quaker Girl & Her Needlework which will run most weekends through March & April, 2008, except Easter weekend. This series is a direct result of the cancellation of the exhibition and symposium that was to be sponsored by the Loudoun Museum.
The series includes lectures by Sue Studebaker, Betty Flemming, Lynn Tinley, & Mary Robare. Classes will be conducted by Betsy Morgan, Pamela Darney, Kathy Barrick-Dieter, and Ellen Chester. Ellen has created a special adaptation of her "Long May She Wave" to coordinate with the 35-star Quaker flag from the local Quaker community of Waterford, VA.

Then, patterns recent releases:
A Mon Ami Pierre's Souvenirs de Brodeuse
Blackbird Designs' Loose Feathers Beneath the Sunlit Sky
Ink Circles' Quackworth 2007
Lakeside Linens & Designs' Katie's Quaker Sampler
Long Dog Samplers' Opus II
Milady's Needle's Quakers Rule
Plum Street Samplers' Quaker Calendar V & Quaker Calendar VI
The Primitive Needle's Of Female Arts

Finally, a new quaker freebie from our honorary quaker member Debbie Draper: Spot of Fun.

Progress on Beatrix
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

She is fun to work on, so much I would like to abandon other projects. I won't however, as I have so many in the works.
