I guess it's time to introduce myself...
before I start posting and confuse everyone! My name is Ann, and I am a fan of all things Quaker and Shaker, Mission and Prairie. I want to thank Veronica for sending me the invitation to join this group earlier this month.
My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years, and we've got a collection of cats, but no children. I'm a lobbyist, which gives me plenty of time at home for stitching!
I'm currently stitching Willie's Quaker Square #7 (from The Gift of Stitching magazine) using Vikki Clayton's linen and her silk floss. I'm a member of the Beatrix Potter SAL blog, and I'll be starting it on January 1.
I look forward to seeing everyone's beautiful work!

slow going...
Hello friends,
Just wanted to share a quick shot of my Ann Grimshaw sampler with you. Progress has been slow due to other projects I've been working on, vacation and nursing my husband after his knee surgery just two days ago. No matter, in these hectic times, one stitch done is one stitch closer to completion...

End of the rotation...
Greetings from the wet and cold Low Lands...
I've decided to rotate every two weeks on my Ann Grimshaw, so that other projects get a chance to progress..
It'll be hard to put it down!

A long time.....
since I have posted. I am starting to crawl out from my work hole. (I work in the pubic schools and have no life from mid august to mid June! )
I have a couple of finishes to share.
First Ann Grimshaw:
A closeup of the frames..
Ann is stitched on 32 ct. Navy Bean with HDF Indigo Ocean. This was so fun!
Here is Hannah Beeby, finished in February.
Also stitched on 32 ct Navy Bean with Vikki Clayton Silks with Old Maid of the Sea.

first stitches...
Hello!
It's a glorious afternoon here, after a very dark and rainy day.
What a better thing to do while it's raining cats and dogs than to start a new project?
Here's the start of the Ann Grimshaw sampler:
It doesn't look like much now, but hopefully it'll look like a sampler soon. I began in the upper right-hand corner.
I would like to mark my progress on my blog, and have seen several on the blogs that I read: does anyone know how to do that? and if so, would you please tell me how?
Materials used:
S & S Linen - 14 count per cm/35 count per inch
DMC # 3010
golden #28 needles
oh...and...does anyone know how to cross-post? That is writing a post on one blog and that it automatically goes to another blog
