The aim is to create almost a quaker Christmas ornament for our Christmas tree. The patterns can be taken from every JCS Christmas Ornaments issues or any other Xmas ornament pattern: the only rule is that it has to be a Quaker ornament, obviously.
The SAL will officially start next November 16th.

I have been a member of this blog for awhile but, could not post. Thanks, Veronica for fixing everything. I have Sarah Moon and Long Dog's Mouline Rouge started but, neither has seen the light of day recently. I hope to get back to them after the first of the year.

before I start posting and confuse everyone! My name is Ann, and I am a fan of all things Quaker and Shaker, Mission and Prairie. I want to thank Veronica for sending me the invitation to join this group earlier this month.

My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years, and we've got a collection of cats, but no children. I'm a lobbyist, which gives me plenty of time at home for stitching!

I'm currently stitching Willie's Quaker Square #7 (from The Gift of Stitching magazine) using Vikki Clayton's linen and her silk floss. I'm a member of the Beatrix Potter SAL blog, and I'll be starting it on January 1.

Hello, everyone. I'm Marian and I live in Louisiana. I've been married to David for 40 years. We have two sons and three grandchildren.

We're both natives of Alabama but have lived here for 34 years. The best food and coffee are Louisiana. That's just a couple of reasons to live here -not for hurricanes, though.

I have no idea how long I've been stitching-forever, I think. I'm especially fond of quaker motifs and have just finished Quaker Christmas by ByGone Stitches. You can see pictures of it on my blog: http://gumboandgrits.blogspot.com/. I like simple, quick projects by usually have one or two on hand that are more complicated.

I'm a church organist, avid reader and love to potter about my house. I love blogging, also, almost as much as watching tv-love that Law And Order! I'm sometimes active in the Republican Party but will vote otherwise if it is a better candidate.

I've also just joined a new SAL-for the Beatrix Potter sampler. I started it a long time ago but never finished it. Maybe this time I will. Looking forward to working with you all.

I saw the recent post asking that the new members introduce themselves, so I figured I better stop being lazy and do so!

My name is Beth, I like a variety of crafts including quilting, cross stitching and knitting, I tried by hand at punchneedle, but I'm not very good at it. My blog is called Beth's Crafts and I invite you to go read about me there. I am also an avid fisherperson, my husband and I go fishing just about every weekend. When we don't get to go for one reason or other, I almost have withdrawals! LOL I am currently working on numerous quilts and a few cross stitch patterns, including The Village of Hawk Run Hollow and A Quaker Christmas. I love patterns that are detailed and labor intensive, otherwise I tend to get bored and never finish.

Anyway, thanks for having me. I'm hoping belonging to a few group blogs like this one will keep me motivated to finish a few things.

I have been stitching, seems since forever..... and enjoy all types of stitching.... I live in Live Oak, Florida with my husband Chip of 5 years.... we are both retired, which leaves plenty of time for stitching..... Cancer took my first husband of 29 years, so Chip and I have four sons, two daughter's-in-law and two grandsons.... Marty, Eva and Dale (13 years old) and Bill and Ryan (almost 3 years old) live in central, upstate New York.... Brian and Sue live in northern Virgina, near Washington, DC and Doug lives in Georgia, near Atlanta....

Hello everybody.
First of all, I want to publicly apologise for the long absence on this blog.
I'm the administrator but I haven't done a good job here lately.
I was totally away from the PC in August, and tried to come back in September, with so many thigs to settle on my website and main blog, that I temporaly skip my duties here.
Now I'm back.

I recently accepted new entrance requests, so I invite the new members to introduce theirselves to the quaker bloggers. I'll create your personal signature (let's see how apply signatures here) add the link into the Quaker bloggers column.

I want to congrats all the quaker members for their finishes, too.
Sorry for no leaving comments, however I've seen all them with feeds and really liked every personal touches you gave to your quaker pieces.

I'll try to follow again the newest releases of quaker designs, I promise I'll try.

It seems our first quaker exchange went very well, except two little obstacles almost passed (one member still has to receive her quaker animal, the first package went missed, but now it's on her way).
I think it's better to leave the second quaker exchange for the new year, after Epiphany,
but I wish to launch a Quaker Christmas Ornament SAL.

Hi, I'm Margaret from Auckland, New Zealand, new to this blog but really looking forward to stitching along with you and to increasing my knowledge and expertise at Quaker.
Just last week I found this site and saw the post from Marianne of her "Faith Hope and Love". I immediately ordered it online and today I received the chart so at lunchtime today will go to my local store and get fabric ready to start it asap. Perhaps you will see a photo soon?
